- What are the BG5 Success Codes?
- They are the sixteen steps a BG5 career analysis is broken into. The first six are what a career overview covers, and they are the ones most people ever see — career type, personal interaction, decision-making strategy, key indicators, assimilation and environmental style. Codes seven through sixteen are the depth block: business skills and attributes, organizational roles, shadows, public role, life work theme, strengths, and whether you belong in a large group.
- Why does this page not list all sixteen with names?
- Because two of them cannot be sourced properly. Dr. Archers’ recorded teaching names most of the sixteen directly, and does not clearly name codes 13 and 14 — they sit inside the block she describes as "codes 11 through 15", and 14 comes up in the context of organizational strengths. Rather than invent two plausible labels to make the list look complete, this page says where the published record runs out. That standard is set out on /methodology and it applies to competitors’ terminology as much as to our own.
- Do I need a Success Code report to use any of this?
- No. The first six codes are all readable from a free chart, and the reason they get sold as a report is that reading them takes practice, not that the data is hidden. Run a free chart here, or if you want the reading rather than the raw output, the written Career Design Report does the first block properly for $97.
- How is this different from what the BG5 Business Institute sells?
- The Institute is the certifying body: its reports are software-generated and its route to depth is to take a course or find a consultant from its directory. This site does not certify anyone. It applies the same underlying system to the business you are already running, at published prices, with the analysis written by a person.
- Is "Success Code" your terminology?
- No. It is the BG5 Business Institute’s framing for the sixteen-step structure, and this page explains it rather than claiming it. The underlying mechanics — type, authority, profile, definition, environment — are the Human Design System as Ra Uru Hu taught it, and predate any particular report built on top of them.
